FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla., - A guy and his girlfriend were arrested after deputies searched their car and found large amounts of pot, marijuana-infused gummy bears and a gun on Fort Myers Beach.
Salvator Virzi, 20, and his girlfriend Kathleen Dudney, 21, from Winter Haven were sitting in their parked car near Main Street Tuesday when a deputy approached their car with dark tinted windows.
The deputy says he noticed a pungent smell of raw marijuana inside the car and asked the two to get out of the car.
When Virzi got up, the deputy says there was a clear bag of marijuana on his seat.
This led to a search of their car.
All in all, deputies found 45 THC liquid tanks, 104 grams of marijuana, 36 grams of marijuana-infused gummy bears, a handgun with a high capacity magazine and $3,800 cash.
Virzi is charged with 25 counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Dudley was charged with drug possession. Both are out on bond.
