Blood Drive held in honor of Stoneman Douglas High School victims

LEE COUNTY, Fla. --- The Lee County Chapter for Parents of Murdered Children is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday. 

The drive is in honor of the students and teachers involved in the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Fla. last Wednesday.

The drive will be at 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Followers of Christ Fellowship located on the 2800 block of Grand Avenue. 

All donors will receive a free wellness check up including blood pressure, temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening. 

The suspected gunman, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, opened fire at Stoneman Douglas High School killing 17 people and injuring several others.
