LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Tuesday night, Lee County's newest high school could finally have a name.
One school board member wants to name it after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Melisa Giovanelli says she will seek a roll call vote on the idea at the school board meeting Tuesday night.
She says she's doing it now as Wednesday marks 56 years since King's “I have a dream” speech.
The new high school, temporarily called “MMM”, will open in the Gateway area in 2021.
