UPDATE: A nearby apartment complex has been evacuated because of the fire.
Cape Coral Fire crews are battling an 8 acre brush fire burning between Ceitus Parkway and Pine Island Road Thursday.
The fire is now 90% contained, Caloosahatchee Forestry Center said.

Crews are evacuating people living in homes nearby as a precaution.
At this time, Ceitus Pkwy is closed and crews are asking drivers to seek an alternate route.
Pine Island Road remains open.
