NAPLES, Fla -- As graduation approaches, Collier County high school students will get an inside look at career opportunities that don't necessarily require a college degree.
The "Build My Future" Career Fair hosted by Collier County Public Schools will welcome several local businesses to educate students on building and trades industry opportunities.
The goal is to show soon-to-be grads that there are career paths in these fields that offer a path to success. These are also jobs our society will desperately need filled in the coming years.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, as our population continues to grow so will our need for new buildings. By 2026, it's projected that more than 7.5 million jobs will be available in the construction industry. However, there won't be enough skilled workers to fill them.

Students at Tuesday's career fair will get to do more than just hear about these alternative opportunities. They'll be able to learn alongside the experts as display booths offer hands-on demonstrations in a variety of different trades.
The career fair will directly connect students with potential employers. Students will have the ability to network and land On the Job Training opportunities, summer internships, and even employment if they are graduating this May.
The Career Fair is set to get started at 9:30 a.m. at the Collier County Fairgrounds.
