Burglar targeting Lee County businesses through rooftops

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Authorities are looking for a suspect accused of several break-ins via rooftops at some Fort Myers businesses in recent weeks.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the person gains access to the roof and enters the business via an air conditioning duct. The subject damages the ceiling tiles and takes cash from the register and main office.

They believe the person drives a dark colored vehicle possibly equipped with a ladder, and uses the I-75 corridor to target businesses between the hours of midnight and 4:00 a.m.

The subject is a tall, slim, white male wearing a long sleeve hoodie.

On November 17th, they broke into Heavenly Pizza and the T-Mobile store at Merchants Crossing on Pine Island Road and N. Cleveland Avenue in North Fort Myers.

On November 25th, they broke into Patinella’s Chicken Grill on Daniels Parkway off Plantation Road in Fort Myers.

On November 20th, they broke into Marsala Pizza near Corckscrew Road and Ben Hill Griffin Parkway in Estero.

Maks Asian Kitchen & Sushi confirms to Fox 4 that they were burglarized Tuesday night at their location on Fiddlesticks Boulevard off Daniels Parkway in Fort Myers.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
