FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A dramatic shooting incident was caught on camera in front of a South Fort Myers restaurant, leaving one man injured this weekend.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday at Osaka Japanese Steakhouse on San Carlos Boulevard, close to Fort Myers Beach.

Surveillance video at the restaurant showed a man and woman walking into the restaurant's parking lot, and then running back inside. The man then limped into the dining room, warning patrons that he was shot and to get on the ground.

Emergency responders and crime scene investigators arrived on scene shortly after staff called 911. The victim was rushed to the hospital.

One employee described the scene to Fox 4. "It was surreal. We just wanted to make sure everyone was safe, lock the doors, and call 911," he said.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office said the man suffered minor injuries.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded and assumed the investigation. Investigators say the incident appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

The restaurant reopened Sunday.
