Cape Coral debris removal scheduled Wednesday

Posted

CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- After being pushed back, some storm debris removal in Cape Coral will begin, Wednesday.

Removal was originally scheduled for Monday, the 18th. However, because of high volume of debris statewide, contractors hired to do the job are deployed in other locations.

In the meantime, the city worked on some alternatives. They are bringing in subcontractors to begin debris removal Wednesday. Four contractors with 50-yard, roll-off clamshell trucks are scheduled to begin collecting debris in the south Cape in the morning. Smaller trucks will be working in the north Cape as well.
