CAPE CORAL, Fla. --- Firefighters throughout Lee County are mourning the loss of Cape Coral Fire Engineer, Michael Camelo Jr.
Camelo passed away Thursday afternoon after suffering a brain aneurysm Wednesday morning.
"We are greatly saddened by his untimely death," said Ryan Lamb, Fire Chief for Cape Coral Fire Department. "This is not only a great loss to the Cape Coral Fire Department and his family, but to the entire Southwest Florida community."
Engineer Camelo leaves behind two young children and a GoFundMe account has been set up to accept donations for their future.
