CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife will be having an online auction in lieu of the Annual Burrowing Owl Festival - Wildlife & Environmental Expo, due to concerns regarding the Coronavirus.

The Burrowing Owl Festival has been CCFW's primary fundraising effort for the past 19 years.

It is the largest nature festival in South Florida and typically generates thousands of dollars.

Without the event, it will be challenging to continue many activities such as burrowing owl burrow maintenance, butterfly house tours, purple martin monitoring and maintenance, community education, and the purchase of conservation land in Cape Coral endangered wildlife.

CCFW is confident the community will support our efforts to preserve wildlife by participating in the "Owl Fest Auction.

The bidding begins on February 17th and closes on the 27th.

Viewing the auction begins on February 7th.
