CAPE CORAL, FLA. — Its been a month since Cape Coral updated its noise ordinance and one business has already been cited.

But, employees say they feel singled out.

Those who work for Rusty's Raw Bar and Grill showed up to Monday night's city council meeting.

They are fighting the $500 citation they received last Friday , after police were called out for a noise complaint.

They say the noise ordinance is stifling their business, by forcing them to take the music indoors between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

And claim they feel singled out because other businesses also had loud music and didn't get fined.

"We want it to be fair, you do it across the board to everybody or you don't do it to anybody," said Rusty's employee, Nicole Isner.

However, they weren't the only people there last night to talk about the noise.

Several of their neighbors also showed up to ask that the business keep it down.

"All we're asking is that Rusty's please be courteous of their neighbors and abide by the noise ordinance," said a woman who lives near the bar.

The city council has decided to take another look at the ordinance and see if there are any changes that need to be made
