CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The Cape Coral Police have announced charges for a driver who was driving recklessly on September 24th on Del Prado Boulevard South.
Jivon Rodriguez, 21, of Zephyrhills, was driving 102 MPH in a 45 MPH zone on Del Prado Boulevard South.
Rodriguez crashed into a Ford Edge driven by Franklin Mihacy, at speeds between 82MPH and 93MPH, as Mihacy crossed Del Prado Blvd.
The impact resulted in serious bodily injuries to Franklin Mihacy.
Rodriguez was charged with Reckless Driving Causing Serious Bodily Injury, Reckless Driving Causing Property Damage.
