CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A Cape Coral man has been arrested for allegedly punching a dancer and threatening the victim with a knife.

According to a police report, the victim says 53-year-old Robert Poit hired two men to perform a private dance at his home on June 12.

But, the victim says they were the only dancer to arrive.

That dancer says during the encounter, Poit became violent.

The victim says as they prepared to leave, Poit punched them in the face and eventually threatened the person with a knife.

But, Poit told the Cape Coral Police Department a different story.

He says while he was getting undressed, the victim asked to use the restroom.

According to Poit, the victim then robbed him of items including $380, a gold watch, and a gold ring.

Poit admitted to Cape Police that he was "incredibly intoxicated" during the encounter, and was later arrested for aggravated battery.
