BONITA SPRINGS, Fla - A car crashed into a Bonita Springs house late Sunday night, causing a chain reaction that left two people injured, forced a family to leave their home, and ended with a car in a swimming pool.

At this point Lee County Sheriff's Office investigators are not sure what caused the accident in the 27000 block of Esther Dr.

They say two people were in a car that drove down a long driveway and crashed into the house. Their car ricocheted off a car that was parked in the garage, and then crashed into a swimming pool. Investigators say both people suffered minor injuries in the crash.

No one was in the home when the crash happened. But enough structural damage was done to the house, that the people who live there had to go somewhere else for the night. On top of that, the car that was parked in the garage also suffered significant damage.

There was a dog in the car that crashed and two more in the house, but none were injured.
