UPDATE (6:30 pm) - Derrick has been located and is safe.

The Cape Coral Police Department needs your help locating 9-year-old Derrick Fletcher Jr.
He was last seen on NE 6th Street at 3:10 p.m.
Investigators say he was accidentally locked out of his home after school.
Derrick went to a neighbor's home and called his parent.
He was told to stay there, but he left and has not been seen or heard from since.
CCPD says he has no known friends that live in the area, and because of his age, he is considered missing and endangered.
They say Derrick is 110lbs with black hair and could be wearing a white shirt and blue shorts with a black backpack.
