COLLIER COUNTY, Fla — Collier County Public Schools announced they will allow additional fans at athletic events.
CCPS says the decision was part of the latest recommendations from the Florida Department of Health-Collier.
They say seats will be marked to reflect limited social distancing in the stands.
Football players and cheerleaders will now be allowed to have two members of their household attend home and away games.
Extra seats will go to senior students of the home team.
As part of the health guidance update, CCPS announced that students can now remove face coverings and mask at recess, during P.E, on playgrounds and other outdoor spaces.
Social distancing will still be enforced, and students will use hand sanitizer when re-entering the schools.
