NAPLES, Fla — The Collier County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accidental death at Sun-N-Fun Lagoon in Naples.
On Tuesday, deputies responded to a medal call stating that a concrete wall in the Lazy River area fell onto a man, and it couldn't be removed off of him.
That man was identified as Anthony Michael Garcia.
Deputies attempted to drag Garcia from under the wall but were initially unsuccessful.
A witness was able to operate construction equipment to try to lift the slab off of Garcia.
Deputies were able to drag Garcia out by his arms and noticed he was blue and purple in the face and had blood coming out of his ears.
Medics treated Garcia and transported him to the hospital where he died.
Investigators say Garcia was standing in a trench cutting concrete when the slabbed tipped over and fell on top of him.
