COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — The Collier County Deputies arrested a man for leaving the scene of a crash, driving without a license, and driving under the influence on Thursday.

Deputies were alerted to a hit and run incident on Ironwood Lane, where they found the victim and the suspect.

The victim told deputies the suspect was driving a Mazda Sedan when he rear-ended his and never stopped.

Deputies say the victim told them the suspect was driving side to side, collided with another car and kept on driving.

Authorities say the victim followed the suspect until the driver, who was later identified as Elmer Roblero Perez, made a final stop on Ironwood Lane.

Deputies say Perez got out of the car and ran inside of a residence. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the suspected car parked on a handicap space in front of the residence.
Deputies say the car showed front end damage and the driver airbag deployed.

Officials say the victim positively identified Perez as the driver and only occupant of the black Mazda who crashed into him and the other car. Deputies arrested Perez for driving under the influence, driving without a license, and leaving the scene of a crash without giving information.
