CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Charlotte County Fire and EMS contained a fire caused by a cigarette on I-75 near Harbor View Rd. Sunday afternoon.
Fire officials say the call came in around 2:30 p.m.
Crews closed two northbound lanes on I-75 in order to contain the 2 acre fire.
Officials say the fire is 100% contained, and one northbound lane is open.
