CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — The Charlotte county sheriff's office says they are exploring implementing body cameras for all of their certified deputies.
They say it could take some time for that to happen but accountability and transparency is their goal.
The sheriff's office also wants to strengthen their relationship with the black community.
Sheriff Bill Prummell said quote-
"All of us at the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, as well as the citizens we serve, are concerned about the integrity of the agency and we are justifiably proud of the service that we provide the community."
