MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — The City of Marco Island is preparing for Memorial Day weekend.
The City says they have a plan in place to mitigate crowding, traffic, and increased trash.
The trash cans will be emptied multiple times Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
The City asks that if you see any issues regarding trash on the beach, please call 389-5000.
They have also increased fines for violations of the City’s beach conduct ordinance, which include prohibiting dogs and glass on the beach.
The City will also ticket and tow illegally parked vehicles. If you see any issues concerning traffic or groups larger than ten that are not socially distanced from other groups, please call the Marco Island Police Department.
