CLEWISTON, Fla — The Hendry County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was found shot in Clewiston.
Investigators say on Thursday, September 10th, deputies responded to Harlem Gardens.
They say Deputy Sheriff J. Miller heard several gunshots while working a detail in that area.
Investigators say several people reported that a man had been shot and was unresponsive.
That man was identified as 34-year-old Anthony Eric Jamel Balkcom.
He later died from his injuries after he was transported to a trauma center.
