COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- An investigation is underway after a Collier County Sheriff's Deputy was involved in an overnight crash.
This happened at 9:22 p.m. on Green Boulevard and Hemingway Lane in the Golden Gate area.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the deputy was driving a marked patrol SUV eastbound when she turned on her emergency lights and entered a right turn lane before making a u-turn into the path of an eastbound car behind her.
The driver of the car braked, but was unable to avoid a collision with the SUV. The right front of the car hit the left side of the SUV.
There were some minor injuries reported to both occupants of the patrol car, but luckily, no one had to be taken to the hospital.
The driver of the car and its two juvenile passengers were uninjured.
