Collier County man sentenced to life in prison for sexual battery on two young girls

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A Collier County man was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty following a trial.

Christopher Pearson, 52, sexually molested two young girls, he was a family friend of the victims.

Pearson was sentenced for one count of Sexual Battery of a Victim Under 12 and 25 years in prison on each of the two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Victim Under 12, to be served concurrently.

“He needs to be there, there’s no place in our society for men to be doing that, these are really helpless kids,” said Dan DeMartinis, Marco Island.

Pearson was arrested at the Glen Eagle Golf and Country Club in July of 2016, where he also worked as a self- employed tennis instructor, according to the Marco Island Police Department Report

Fox 4 gained access of the complaint that states most of the sexual acts took place on Marco Island in 2015. The girls’ foster mother left them in Pearson's care at a condo on the island back in June of 2015 and never returned, that’s where the claims of molestation took place.

One victim told investigators that Pearson would sleep naked in bed with her at the condo. The complaint also state’s pearson showered with and inappropriately touched a young girl on multiple occasions.

MIPD were made aware of this by the Michigan State Police in December of 2016 who said they had a molestation investigation in that state against Pearson. There was also a local investigation and a warrant for Pearson’s arrest. The girls telling child service’s of their encounters with Pearson when they were back in Michigan in December of 2015.
