COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Ismael Alvarez Martin, 23, is charged with robbing a Chase bank branch in North Naples in November of 2019.
Alvarez Martin confessed to the Collier County bank robbery as well as six other bank robberies in Florida and one in New York.
Investigators used digital forensic investigative techniques. Detectives were able to identify the suspect vehicle, a 2019 white Volkswagen Jetta.
On Thursday, detectives received a tip that Alvarez Martin was in Collier County.
Deputies located a vehicle matching the description that Alvarez Martin was driving on I 75 and conducted a traffic stop.
Alvarez Martin was driving and was taken into custody.
