Collier County deputies arrested an East Naples man they say grabbed and tried to kiss an 18-year-old girl.
The girl, a student at Lely High School, says she was walking along Gilchrist Street Wednesday. The suspect, Edison Garcia-Delsid grabbed her and tried to kiss her.
The victim told deputies he grabbed her wrist, when she broke free, Garcia-Delsid grabbed her waist. She says Garcia-Delsid told her he liked her and had been watching her. She got away from Garcia-Delsid by pushing him.
The student reported the incident to teachers at Lely High. Deputies arrested Garcia-Delsid after pulling over a vehicle that matched the description of one he was spotted in at a gas station.
When questioned, he admitted to deputies that he grabbed the victim. He's charged with false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery.
Investigators say this incident was not a case of human trafficking.
