COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- If you're traveling through Collier County east of Interstate 75 Wednesday morning, here's a heads up about some traffic delays expected between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

FPL will be moving a new transformer to its substation on Collier Boulevard near 15th Avenue Southwest.

This thing is big…about 300 feet long, 16 feet wide, and 17 feet tall.

There will be some traffic constraints as a result.

A truck carrying the transformer will exit I-75 at Immokalee Road and head east 3.2 miles to Collier Boulevard. The truck will then head south on Collier Boulevard for five miles to its destination at 15th Avenue SW.

The truck will be occupying two lanes and will be moving only about 15 miles an hour.

If you travel these areas, add more time to get to where you're going or just take a different route.
