Congested roadways for commuters is coming to an end much earlier than expected.
According to Florida Department of Transportation, Colonial Boulevard/ SR 884 at the railroad will reopen to traffic by 6 p.m. Thursday evening.
Colonial Boulevard was completely closed at the railroad crossing just west of Metro Parkway since June 9th.
Work to improve and upgrade the crossing was expected to last two weeks but FDOT announced that crews worked diligently to complete their duties as quickly as possible.
