LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lee County School Administrators officially broke ground on the new Gateway High School.
The new school will be on a 55-acre campus.
It could accommodate more than 2-thousand students in 95 classrooms.
The school will be on Griffin Drive near State Road 82 In the Gateway Community of Fort Myers.
The superintendent says the school will help the growing student population of the east zone.
It's expected to open in August 2021.
