LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Cape Coral couple accused of killing their 18-month-old child through malnutrition have entered a not guilty plea.
Ryan O'Leary and Shiela O'Leary were arrested last month after it was found that their 18-month-old boy died on September 27th from complications of malnutrition and weighed 17 pounds.
Last week, the State Attorney's Office announced the couple has been indicted on several charges in the death of their 18-month-old child, including murder.
A Lee County grand jury has indicted the couple on charges of 1st Degree Murder, Aggravated Child Abuse, Aggravated Manslaughter, Child Abuse, and Child Neglect.
Their next court date is January 7th.
