A Lehigh Acres woman quickly grabbed her cell phone and began recording after seeing a family coyotes right in front of her window.
"I just opened the blinds like I do every morning and the mother was right there," said Julie Tache.
She saw a mother and her 4 cubs walking right near her Lincoln Avenue home.
"She walked over there, and she kept looking around, kept looking at her cubs," said Tache.
Tache and her husband have seen coyotes before, but never a family of them, and never during the daylight hours.
"This was really late in the morning for them, it was really weird, that's why I thought it was a German Shepherd," she said.
Coyotes have been spotted in all 67 counties in Florida, the Taches say they hear them almost every night in their rural Lehigh Acres neighborhood.
"It's a whinning noise, real high pitched, trying to get attention, of course our dogs go nuts," said Mike Tache.
Florida Fish and Wildlife says coyotes rarely attack humans. However, if you have pets, FWC reccomends having a fence at least 6 feet or higher to prevent coyotes from jumping into your yard.
