A crash with injuries caused a portion of State Road 82 to be blocked off early Monday morning.
The crash between a silver sedan and a box truck happened near Shawnee Road and S.R. 82 shortly after 4:30 a.m. Lehigh Acres Fire Rescue transported the driver of the sedan to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Deputies diverted traffic from S.R. 82 at 40th Street and Gunnery Road as crews tended to the wreckage.
The driver of the box truck told Four In Your Corner he was rear-ended by the silver sedan.
Florida Highway Patrol has assumed the investigation.
