COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- We're learning more about a crash that killed one person and injured three children near Immokalee Wednesday night.
It happened on Camp Keais Road near Immokalee Road just before 6 p.m.
Florida Highway Patrol investigators say 49-year-old Wayne Wycoff from Ave Maria was driving south on Camp Keais when he lost control of his SUV and crossed over the center line. His SUV hit a northbound SUV and overturned.
Wycoff was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The female driver of the other SUV sustained minor injuries, but three children ages 7, 9, and 10 were seriously injured. All four were taken to Lee Memorial.
