Credit card theft suspect sought in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Authorities are hoping to identify a man they say used stolen credit cards to purchase $1,500 worth of items last month.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the incident happen on November 3rd, 2017.

The victim was shopping when she was notified of possible fraudulent activity on her credit cards.  She then realized that her wallet had been stolen from her.

Reports indicate that her cards were being used at the Target at Coconut Point in Estero.  One successful transaction was made for $1,536.  Shortly after that, four more purchases on the victims cards were attempted, but declined.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect as he left the store with the one successful purchase.

 Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the unidentified man is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
