LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Cape Coral father accused of heinous abuse of his 10 foster and adopted children will spend the next 25 years in an Alabama prison.
Daniel Spurgeon and his wife Jenise were arrested in 2016 after three of their underage foster daughters were found drunk at a Cape Coral KFC.
Officers tipped off investigators in Florence, Alabama, who say the abuse started when the family lived there.
Daniel Spurgeon pleaded guilty to 14 charges, including child abuse and rape.
