BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — A 65-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident that happened on Estero Boulevard Friday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the motorcyclist was approaching a curve in the roadway on Estero Boulevard and failed to stay in the travel lane.
Investigators say he exited the roadway and struck rocks on the east shoulder. Troopers say the driver was separated from the vehicle, and the motorcycle struck three unoccupied cars before coming to final rest.
Authorities say the driver struck the left side of an unoccupied car before coming to final rest on the west shoulder.
