NORTH PORT, Fla. — UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as 70-yr-old Thomas J Conrad. Mr. Conrad was homeless with an extensive medical history. There are no signs of foul play.
He was last seen by a passerby at around 9pm last night and the community is being asked to please contact Detective Adam Taylor at 941-429-7383 if anyone else had noticed him around that area.

There is an ongoing death investigation in North Port after a body was found in a ditch alongside the roadway. North Port Police Department is on the scene at South Sumter Blvd.
Traffic will be rerouted in the area so expect delays. Please avoid the area if possible.
