PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is on the scene of a death investigation in Port Charlotte Friday morning.
It's happening in the 4100 block of Gardner Drive, just off Tamiami Trail.
Deputies say there is no danger to nearby residents, but there will be a heavy police presence in the area for several hours.
UPDATE (10:30AM) -- The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office confirms that two people were found dead at the home on Gardner Drive.
Deputies first responded to the scene at 11:30pm Thursday when a family member requested a welfare check.
This is still an active investigation.
