Police say it is been ruled a murder-suicide.

They say that 59-year-old Joanne Walpole shot the family dog, then her son, 37-year-old Michael Walpole, before turning the gun on herself.

It all happened at a home in the 2600 block of Northwest 9th Street.

Michael did have a criminal history and was a registered Sexual Offender.
