Deputies are looking for person in a hit and run crash in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Lee County deputies and troopers are looking for the person behind a hit and run crash in Fort Myers early Monday.

It happened just after 2:15 a.m. on Summerlin Road near Winkler Road.

The westbound lanes going toward Sanibel were shut down for about an hour.

Our crew says they saw two cars, including one that crashed into a canal.

FHP says there were injuries but have not released how severe those injuries are.
