Deputies: Couple caught with marijuana-tinged gummy bears

LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A couple is under arrest after deputies discovered a car full of drugs - including marijuana-infused gummy bears.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, a deputy approached a car with tinted windows in a parking lot on San Carlos Boulevard in Fort Myers Beach. 

The deputy immediately smelled raw marijuana and asked Virzi and Dudney to get out of the car. Virzi was sitting on a clear bag filled with what was determined to be marijuana, 

The deputy searching the vehicle found 45 THC liquid tanks, electronic cigarettes, 104 grams of marijuana, 36 grams of marijuana-infused gummy bears candies, a handgun and $3,800 cash. 

Salvatore Virzi was charged with 25 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell. Kathleen Dudney was charged with drug possession.
