PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies have arrested a Florida man for aggravated assault after they say he pointed a gun at another driver and his son.

60-year-old Addes Lopez of Valrico was arrested Thursday night in Wesley Chapel.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the victim says he was driving on Oak Grove Road when the vehicle in front of him slammed on the brakes and stopped in the road. He says the other driver got out and pulled out a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the victim with his son in the vehicle.

Deputies later stopped Lopez on State Road 54. He admitted to investigators that he displayed the firearm in an effort to get the victim to "chill out".
