Deputies investigating robbery of 7-Eleven off I-75 in Fort Myers early Monday

UPDATE (8:25AM) -- Deputies say they are looking for a man wearing a lime green safety vest that robbed a 7-Eleven in Fort Myers with a gun early Monday morning.

it happened around 3:13 a.m. According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the suspect pointed a gun a clerks and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, in his late 20's or early 30's, approximately 5’6” to 5’8”, wearing blue gloves, black shoes, black jeans, a black shirt covered by a lime green t-shirt and a lime green safety vest. He wore a white bandana over this face during the robbery, as well as dark sunglasses and a black hat.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000. FORT MYERS, Fla. -- We are following breaking news out of Fort Myers Monday morning, where half a dozen deputy patrol cars are at a 7-Eleven store off I-75.

This is at the store on Interstate Commerce Drive. That's just west of the intersection of Interstate 75 and Alico Road.

Our crew on scene tells us deputies have been there since around 3:30 a.m. They also say K-9 units have been on the scene as well.
