Deputies seize drugs, weapons and over $100,000 cash

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — The Lee County Sheriff's Office says a series of warrants in Lehigh Acres lead to the seizure of drugs, weapons and $100,000 in cash.

Deputies say on Friday, June 19, they pulled over Justin Sajewski for a traffic violation on Leeland Heights Boulevard.

According to a post on their Facebook page, deputies say they saw a gun placed between the driver's seat and the car's center console.

They also say they smelled marijuana.

Inside of the car, deputies found LSD, marijuana and over $25,000 in cash.

Sajewski was arrested.

Deputies say Sajewski also used a nearby storage unit. Inside of that space, they found more than $12,000 plus the following:

  • 19 bottles containing 10,166 Alprazolam pills
  • nearly three pounds of THC wax
  • an additional 10.4 grams of LSD
  • 45.38 grams of Ecstasy
  • 13.74 ounces of “Nerds Rope” THC candy
  • 9mm ammunition

LCSO says a warrant for houses located on 3rd Street Southwest and West 7th Street led to the arrests of 37-year-old Lawrence Cliffton Bankins and 27-year-old Noe Lara.

Inside of those locations, deputies say they found the following:

  • 14 firearms, two of which had been reported stolen
  • 345 THC cartridges
  • 95 THC nerd candy packages
  • 56 grams of Methamphetamines
  • 0.8 grams of Crack cocaine
  • 21.2 grams of MDMA
  • 71.5 Alprazolam pills
  • 171 pounds of marijuana

Detectives say they also seized an additional $75,720.00 of U.S. currency.
