Lee County Sheriffs are investigating a possible attempted truck theft overnight in North Fort Myers.
A witness on the scene tells Fox 4 that he was checking on his parents who live in an RV near Interstate Court and East Street in North Fort Myers. That man, named Miguel, says he came outside and saw what appeared to be someone attempting to steal a white tractor-trailer.
The witness says he screamed at the man -- who then ran away. Miguel tells us a dark colored Ford Excursion picked up that man and drove away.
Our crew says they saw a police helicopter on the scene. The Lee County Sheriff's Office tells Fox 4 that no suspect is in custody.
