A Collier County deputy responding to a serious crash at the intersection of Collier Boulevard and Veronawalk Boulevard was involved in an accident Saturday afternoon.
Troopers say the deputy was sideswiped by another vehicle.
According to the Troopers, there were no injuries in that crash.
The accident the deputy was responding to at the intersection involved two vehicles.
Troopers say the two vehicles went over the guard rail and into the water.
The Florida Highway Patrol says two people with serious injuries, and an additional four, all involved in the accident, were taken to the hospital.
Authorities are redirecting traffic as they investigate the incident and clear the scene.
