NAPLES, Fla—A popular Collier County boating spot, will be getting a multi-million-dollar makeover, partly due to Hurricane Irma.
Collier County Commissioners have approved a contract, so Doctors Pass can be revitalized. The two-million-dollar job involved rebuilding the south rock jetty and building new break-waters, south of the inlet.
Work could begin starting late next month or early November. It could take up to 4 months to finish.
