Dog found with mouth taped shut reward now up to $8,000

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Investigators want to know who is responsible for taping shut a dog's mouth in Lehigh Acres.

A new press release from PETA states the reward is now up to $8,000 in the abuse case.

Lee County Domestic Animal Services was called to the area of the 3200 block of 42nd Street SW on Tuesday after a neighbor saw a Florida Cur roaming the area with red electrical tape around it's mouth.

Anyone with information is asked to call either the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at (239) 477-1000 or submit information anonymously to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-(800) 780-TIPS.
