UPDATE (8AM) -- Cape Coral Parkway has reopened in both directions near the Cape Coral Bridge, and traffic is flowing again.

CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- An overnight crash on Cape Coral Parkway knocked down power lines, causing road blockage near the base of the Cape Coral Bridge.
The crash happened around midnight on Cape Coral Parkway near SE 17th Avenue.
The road is blocked between Del Prado Boulevard and 17th Place, and the eastbound lanes of the Cape Coral Bridge are expected to be blocked until approximately 9 a.m. Monday.
LCEC reported several hundred power outages in the area.
