Dunbar High School students compete in national competition in Las Vegas

FORT MYERS, Fla. — What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas in this case! We're too proud to keep it a secret! 

Fox 4 is giving a big shout out to the brilliant and dedicated mat students at Dunbar High School.

They placed 15th in the whole country in the "Mu Alpha Theta" math competition held in Las Vegas.

This is just their second year competing at this level led by coach Phillip Savage.

 Connor Giordano was among the Dunbar students who stood out in the individual competitions placing 4th in calculus limits & derivatives.
